Modern life causes people to work in multiple and ever changing teams. It is therefore essential that an individual can operate effectively and work together with all types of people if the goals of the team are to be achieved.

Sand sculpture is a fantastic and fun way to encourage employees to challenge their normal functions within the company. Groups must adapt to this alternative environment so that new individual strengths can be realised, leading to mutual appreciation, improved communication, and ultimately, a more dynamic and affective team in the workplace. You are creating something much more special than a simple sand sculpture.

 

The Big Day

A typical session will last for two and a half hours but can be reduced or extended if needs be. If it is an afternoon of fun then the sculptors are usually able to make a small demonstration sculpture if time and tide permit. On arrival the sculptors will introduce themselves and their art and will demonstrate the tricks of the trade before assigning each team a task. Each group will contribute a creation to the emerging gallery of sculptures on the beach. The sculptors will be at hand to troubleshoot and inspire. When finished, everyone can take a look around to appreciate each other’s achievements. If it is to be a competition then scores can be taken and prizes given.
