This year Jamie travelled on a rickety night train to the northern confines of Finland to help build the Ice Hotel, referred to there as the Snow Castle or in Finnish Lumilina. As part of the design team, we helped to transform the bare snow tunnels and domes of the ice hotel into dazzling bars, bistros, chapels and restaurants. People actually get married in the church we made! If you pay it a visit to the ice hotel then I recommend the Salmon hotpot and a very, very warm pair of trousers as the tables are also made of ice.
